Biographical Scetch of Bishop Lindell B. Brown

His Humble Beginning!
Lindell Benford Brown is a prayerful, prosperous, blessed man of God whose life was change through faith and confessing God's over his life. He lovingly shares personal quotes that are bound to be treasured classics. He was born on June 10, 1912 in Coffeeville, Mississippi to the union of the late Alfonso and Ethel Faulkner Brown. Following God's Destiny for his life, he moved to New Orleans, LA. With the leading of his dear brother Jerry, he received Christ as his personal savior and both later joined the Wilbon Chapel Church of God in Christ thus beginning his life as a great pioneer in the Church of God in Christ.

A Man of Faith!
His dedication to ministry led him to serve in many capacities. He began as a deacon, served as a Sunday School Superintendent, and was called into the Gospel Ministry in 1946. Because of his faithfulness and loyalty, he was also appointed as Assistant Pastor of Wilbon Chapel COGIC. He was blessed to travel as an evangelist and ministered with the renowned "guitar playing" Elder Utah Smith, Pastor of Two Wings COGIC, and was soon appointed Assistant Pastor to Elder Smith. In 1961, he founded the Pentecostal Church of God in Christ where he presently serves as Senior Pastor. He also serves as Pastor of the Historic Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ, founded by Bishop Claiborne Jones and Mother M. Megregor Jones.
A Man Of Dinstinction!
Bishop Brown served as State Sunday School Superintendent, Master of Ceremony and Assistant Superintendent of District Two in the Louisiana Eastern Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop W. K. Gordon. He also served faithfully as State Sunday School Superintendent, as a State Executive Board Member and as Administrative Assistant to the late Bishop Joseph Anthony Thompson of Louisiana Eastern Second Ecclessiastical Jurisdiction. Bishop Brown received his formative education at Coffeville Rosewald High School in Mississippi and he attended Feltus Bible College and Trinity Bible College where he received a Bachelor and Master of Ministry and an Honorary Doctorate. He is presently the President of the Greater New Orleans School of Ministry. He is affiliated with Gethsemane Prison Ministry, the New Orleans Mayor's Task Force, the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance as well as various other civic organizations. Bishop is the Founding Father of the Greater New Orleans Ecclessiastical Jurisdiction of Louisiana and was appointed by the Bishop G. E. Patterson and the General Board of the National Church as Jurisdictional Prelate and was consecrated to the Holy Office of Bishop on June 22, 2001. Bishop Brown was to the late Missionary Fred Douglas Brown for sixty-two years. He is the father of Keith Orv Brown and grandfather of Keith Brown, Jr.
